  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. pecans, chopped
  • coconut (if desired)

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix well cake mix, butter or margarine and egg and press into bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. 2
    Set aside.
  3. 3
    Mix together cream cheese, confectioners sugar, eggs, vanilla, pecans and coconut and pour over crust.

    Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

    Cool and cut into bars.
