Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onions
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped peppers (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • dash of basil

Directions

    Combine meat, crumbs, onion, peppers and seasonings.

    Mix in half of the tomato sauce (reserve remainder).

    Form meat mixture into meat balls.

    Top with reserved tomato sauce.

    Meat balls are baked in rectangle baking pan.

    Garnish with Parmesan cheese and olive slices (optional).

    Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Serves 4 or more.
