Adele'S Fruit Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. dried prunes
  • 1/4 lb. dried apricots
  • 1 c. seedless raisins
  • 1 c. tapioca (1/4 c. dry)
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 apples, sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. red sour pitted cherries

Directions

    Soak fruit and tapioca overnight.

    The next day cook all ingredients, except cherries, in 1/2 gallon of water for about 1/4 hour.

    (Wine may be substituted for some of the water.)

    Add cherries and cool.

    Very good for breakfast or an evening snack.
