- 1 large spoon Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 10 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. flavor
- 4 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. yellow food color
- lemon icing (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Use large cup.

3Beat eggs until foamy; set aside.

4Combine sugar, butter and Crisco; blend until creamy. Add flavor and coloring.

5Add 1 cup flour and blend with egg each time.

6Mix well.

7Grease large pound cake pan; dust excess flour from pan.

8Bake for 1 hour.
