- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together; cut in shortening until mix is crumbly.

2Add yeast that has been dissolved in water; add buttermilk and knead for several minutes.

3Roll out and cut.

4Bake at 450° until golden brown (approximately 12 minutes).

5May keep dough in sealed container in refrigerator for 1 week.
