  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. red food coloring
  • 1 tsp. anise flavoring

Directions

    Boil sugar, water and syrup until candy thermometer reaches 300°.

    Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon red coloring.

    Then add 1 teaspoon anise flavoring.

    Pour and dent as it cools.
