- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon anise (optional)
Directions

1Beat eggs on medium speed until fluffy.

2Add sugar gradually, beating constantly. Continue to beat for 30 minutes.

3Add flour (and anise if using) and beat 3 more minutes.

4Drop by teaspoonful on greased and floured cookie sheet.

5Form into perfect rounds and let stand overnight, or at least 8 hours.

6Bake at 325 for 10 minutes. Cookies will be a very light creamy yellow.

7Let cool completely.

8Store in air tight jar.
