- 2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 1/2 c. chopped, dried apples
- 2/3 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1To dry apples:

2Select any tart, firm-textured apple (Granny Smith, Jonathan or McIntosh).

3Wash, peel, core and cut into 1/4 to 1/2-inch slices or rings.

4Pretreat by dipping in ascorbic acid mixture.

5Dry at 130° to 135° until pliable, preferably in a food dehydrator.

6I use the oven; it works well.

7I place fruit on a cookie sheet.
