Apple Butterscotch Bread

  • 2 c. biscuit mix
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. butterscotch morsels
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped (your favorite type)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. applesauce

Directions

    Stir together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

    Add butterscotch morsels, raisins and nuts; mix well.

    Combine egg and milk in a separate bowl; 1 into mixture.

    Add applesauce and beat mixture vigorously by hand for 30 seconds.

    Pour into a large greased loaf pan (about 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/2-inch) and bake in a 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
