- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. applesauce (this replaces 1/2 oil)
- 1/3 c. apple juice
- 2 c. peeled, chopped apples
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Sift first 7 ingredients into mixing bowl; blend.

2Add eggs, vanilla, applesauce and juice.

3Stir just until blended.

4Fold in apples.

5Spoon batter into 8 x 8-inch baking dish sprayed with nonstick vegetable spray.
