- 1 c. low-fat (1.5%) buttermilk
- 3/4 c. buttermilk Baking Mix
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamon
- 4 small Granny Smith apples, cored, pared and thinly sliced.
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Spray a 1 quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

3In a small bowl, combine buttermilk, baking mix, 1 Tbsp. sugar and the cardamon.

4Stir until smooth and set aside.

5In a medium saucepan, combine apples, the remaining 1 Tbsp. of sugar and the lemon juice; bring to a boil.

6Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly 5 minutes until fruit is soft. Pour into prepared baking dish.

7With spoon, evenly drop batter over fruit.

8Bake 20-25 minutes, until browned.

9Let cool.
