- 3 medium sized apples
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Select cooking apples.

2Wash, core and slice about 1/2-inch thick.

3Sift and mix dry ingredients.

4Beat egg well and add to milk.

5Add milk to flour mixture and stir until smooth.

6Dip apples into batter.

7Place in hot, well-greased skillet.

8Add about 1 tablespoon water and cover skillet tightly.

9Turn apples when tops are bubbly and the under sides are brown.

10Add another spoonful of water.

11Cover and cook until fritters are puffy and apples are done.

12Yields 6 servings.
