  • 6 cups apples
  • 34 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

    Peal and core apples (about 4 large) and place in large bowl.

    Add lemon juice and stir.

    In small bowl combine remaining ingredients, mix and add to apples.

    Stir until apples are well coated.

    Pour in your favorite pie crust.

    Bake at 425 for 40 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.

    To keep edges of crust from burning.

    Cover with foil for the first 20 minutes.
