- 3 medium size firm cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 1/2 slices whole wheat bread, finely crumbled
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted margarine
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 300°. In a large bowl, toss the apples with the lemon juice, raisins, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon.
