  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 cups sliced tart apples
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon salt

Directions
