Ingredients: 1 c. butter; 2 c. sugar; 3 eggs; 2 c. applesauce; 3 c. plain flour; 2 Tbsp. cocoa; 2 tsp. soda; 1/2 tsp. cloves; 1/2 tsp. cinnamon; 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained; 1 c. raisins; 1 c. nuts, ground

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. applesauce
3 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, ground

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add eggs, one at a time, then add applesauce.

Blend in flour, cocoa, soda and spices.

Add pineapple, raisin and nuts.

Pour in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
