  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1-1/2 c. applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-1/2 c. Tube Rose flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix first four ingredients. Sift flour, soda and spices. Combine flour mixture with applesauce mixture; stir in raisins and nuts. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350° for 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. May be baked in two layer pans and frost with caramel icing.
