  • 3 cups apricots, dried
  • 3/4 cup crystallized ginger (candied) sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 5 cups water cold
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest grated
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest grated
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup nuts chopped

    Simmer slowly, stirring frequently, until thick and clear.
