- 18 ounces canned apricot puree
- 2 cups water
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons Cointreau liqueur
- 1 lb pecans, chopped
Directions

1Drain and puree apricots.

2In heavy saucepan, bring apricot puree, water, and sugar to a boil for 5 minutes.

3Dissolve cornstarch in a cup of cold water.

4Add to syrup, bring to a boil and cook for 1-2 minutes.

5Stir in Cointreau or other orange liqueur.

6Stir in pecans to make a paste.
