- 11 oz. box dried apricots
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/16 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Place dried apricots in a saucepan and cover with water. Cover and simmer until very tender, about 30 minutes.

2Drain.

3Add sugar and salt.

4Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

5Allow to cool while preparing cookie dough.
