Bacon & Sharp Cheddar Quiche

  • 2 unbaked pie crusts
  • 7 eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup bacon
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 23 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 12 cup cottage cheese

    Preheat oven to 375.

    Bake both piecrusts for 11 minutes.

    Remove from oven and immediately brush with yolk of 1 egg.

    Mix all ingredients except bacon and cheese together (use remaining egg white).

    Place 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup of cheddar into each piecrust.

    Cover with egg mixture.

    Bake at 375 for 38 - 40 minutes.
