- 1 egg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- nutmeg (if desired)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar or honey
- 1/4 c. milk or half and half
Directions

1Put 3/4-inch deep hot water in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

2Place in oven.

3Preheat oven to 325° (165° Celsius).

4Lightly beat egg in a medium bowl.

5Blend in sugar or honey, vanilla and salt. Blend in milk or half and half.

6Pour into 2 (6 ounce) custard cups or souffle pots.

7Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.

8Place cups in hot water bath in oven.

9Bake 40 to 45 minutes until a knife inserted just off center comes out clean.

10A watery residue indicates overbaking.

11Cool before serving.
