Ingredients
- 2 cloves fresh garlic
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 large can tomato puree
- 1/2 can water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 lb. lasagna
- 1 lb. chopped beef
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 2 lb. Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 lb. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Directions

1Saute garlic in tablespoon of olive oil (do not brown garlic). Add tomato puree, water, salt, pepper, oregano and sugar.

2Bring to a boil.

3Lower heat and simmer for 2 hours.

4Brown chopped beef; add parsley, season to taste and add 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese.

5Simmer until all chopped beef is cooked through. Set aside.

6Using a 6-quart kettle, boil water (with 1 tablespoon salt added).

7When a rolling boil starts, add lasagna.

8Cook according to directions on package, drain and blanch with cold water.
