- 5 lb. medium size yellow squash
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. bread crumbs, plus additional crumbs for topping
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- salt to taste
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- dash of pepper
Directions

1Cut tips off squash and cut each squash into 3 to 4 pieces. Drop squash into large saucepan with enough boiling water to cover.

2Return to boil.

3Reduce heat and cook until tender. Drain in colander and mash.
