- 1 small or medium squash
- 2 c. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 2 c. bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. butter or bacon grease
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
Directions

1Cut the top from the squash or cut squash in halves lengthwise.

2Steam until nearly cooked (1/2 hour or more).

3Remove from the water; scoop out inside about 1-inch all around and all the squash from the top.

4Sprinkle the inside with salt and add stuffing.
