Baked Wild Turkey

Ingredients
- 1 wild turkey, dressed
- salt and pepper
- bread ends
- butter
- boiling water
- 2 to 3 boxes Kellogg's Croutettes (depending on size of turkey)
- 1/4 c. onion
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1 (15 oz.) can mushrooms
Directions

1Pat turkey dry with paper towel.

2Salt and pepper inside the body and neck cavities.

3Mix croutettes, onions, celery and butter as listed on package.

4Saute onions and celery in butter.

5Add mushrooms and heat.

6Add to croutettes in a large bowl.

7Toss until coated.

8Add boiling water; mix.

9Add enough to make it stick. Pack into body and neck cavities.

10Use bread ends to hold stuffing in.

11Place turkey in lightly greased roasting pan, breast up. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

12Put on lid.

13Bake at 350° about 30 minutes or until juices run clear.

14Don't overbake (1 hour for small or 2 1/2 hours for large).
