Bamboo Rice Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 c. premium short-grained rice
- 3/4 c. bamboo shoots
- 1/2 c. fresh green peas
- 2 1/4 c. dashi
- 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce - (to 1 tbspn) Salt to taste
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sake
Directions

1Wash the rice.

2Soak in water for 1 hour.

3Drain.

4Wash the bamboo shoots, sliver, parboil, and drain.

5Shell the peas.

6Combine all the ingredients.

7Bring to a boil.

8Cover, and reduce heat, and simmer for 15 min.

9Turn off heat, and allow to stand for 12 min.

10Don't peek, till the time is up.

11Uncover, then fluff with a wooden spatula.

12Serve.
