- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease bottom only of a loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch.

3Mix sugar and butter in a 2 1/2-quart bowl. Stir in eggs until blended.

4Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds.

5Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts just until moistened; stir in nuts.

6Pour into pan.

7Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

8Cool 5 minutes.

9Loosen sides of pan and remove.

10Cool completely before slicing.
