  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. mashed bananas
  • 1/3 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Grease and flour bottom of 10-inch tube pan.

    Melt chocolate chips and water together; cool.

    Combine flour, soda, salt and baking powder; set aside.

    In another bowl, cream butter; gradually add 1 cup sugar.

    Beat until fluffy.

    Add egg yolks. Combine bananas, sour cream and vanilla.

    At low speed, alternately add dry ingredients and banana mixture; blend.

    Fold in egg whites (beaten).
