- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pinch of oregano
- 2 thin sliced potatoes
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 can tomatoes (1 lb. 12 oz.)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 4 c. chopped cabbage
- 2 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Brown beef in large skillet.

2When meat begins to change color, add celery and onion.

3Cook for 5 minutes.

4Stir in flour, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.

5Bring to a boil.

6Remove from heat.

7Alternate layers of meat mixture, cabbage and potatoes in a 3-quart casserole.

8Sprinkle with bread crumbs and butter. Cover with foil; bake for 1 hour, or until vegetables are tender.
