- 3 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
- 4 eggs
- 4 tsp. salt or seasoning salt
- 1 c. ketchup
Directions

1Thoroughly mix together all ingredients.

2Form into balls about 1 1/2-inch in diameter.

3Makes 24 to 28 balls.

4Divide into 2 parts.

5Slowly brown half the balls on all sides in 3 tablespoons fat.

6Remove balls to hot platter.

7Make gravy in same skillet.

8At the same time, bake rest of beef balls in large casserole in moderate oven at about 350°.

9Bake about 20 minutes; cool.

10Cover and freeze or refrigerate until needed for other dishes.
