- 3 lb. trimmed fillet of beef
- salt and pepper to taste
- vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. chopped, fresh mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. brandy
- 1 c. prepared or canned liver pate
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Early in the day or the day before, prepare Quick Puff Pastry and reserve.

2Trim any fat from fillet; season with salt and pepper.

3Brush with oil.

4Place on rack in roasting pan; roast in preheated 400° oven for 30 minutes (for a rare roast).

5Remove from oven, cool to room temperature.
