  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine or butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Combine first three ingredients in large bowl.

    Melt margarine with water and oil in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil.

    Pour over dry ingredients and mix well.

    Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla; blend thoroughly.
