- 34 cup plain flour
- 14 cup custard powder
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar icing
- 2 teaspoons finely-grated lemon rind
- 80 g butter, chilled, chopped
- 1 egg yolk
- powdered sugar icing, to serve
Directions

1Preheat oven to 180C Line a baking tray with baking paper.

2Combine flour, custard powder, icing sugar, lemon rind and butter in a food processor.

3Process until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

4Add egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of cold water.

5Process until dough comes together, adding an extra tablespoon of water if necessary.

6Turn onto a lightly-floured surface.

7Knead until just smooth.

8Roll dough out to 3mm thickness.

9Cut into 14cm x 1cm lengths.

10Twist into bow shapes, brushing with a little water at join.

11Place on prepared tray.

12Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden.

13Remove to a wire rack to cool.

14Dust with icing sugar.

15Serve.
