Blackberry Martini

- 1/2 pound blackberries
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 sauce part chilled blackberry
- 1 vodka part
- ice
Directions

1To make the blackberry sauce, heat the blackberries, water and sugar in a saucepan on medium-high heat.

2Mash the berries with a wooden spoon to release all the juices. Stir until all the sugar has dissolved (about 10-15 minutes).

3Strain liquid through a fine sieve to remove the seeds, then chill well.

4To make the martini, put blackberry sauce and vodka into a shaker with ice and shake well.

5Strain into a martini glass.
