- 1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. double action baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. blueberries
- sugar for sprinkling tops of muffins
Directions

1Grease 12-cup muffin pan.

2Preheat oven to 375°.

3In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, cream the Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

5Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

6Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk and vanilla.

7Crush 1/2 cup of berries and add to batter.

8Fold in remaining berries and spoon into muffin pan.

9Sprinkle with sugar.

10Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

11Cool in pan 5 minutes and turn onto rack.
