- 1 qt. milk
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 5 egg yolks
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Put milk and cinnamon in top of double boiler.

2Heat milk until tiny bubbles appear around edges.

3Beat egg yolks slightly with fork.

4Stir in sugar and salt.

5Add milk slowly, stirring constantly to avoid cooked egg specks.

6Return to double boiler and cook over hot but not boiling water.

7Stir constantly until thick enough to coat a spoon.

8Remove cinnamon and add vanilla.

9Cool and refrigerate.
