  • 8 slices dry bread
  • 4 oz. raisins
  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 2 qt. dry nonfat milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Break bread into quarters and place in 9 x 11-inch cake pan or casserole dish.

    Sprinkle raisins over bread.

    Beat eggs, dry milk, sugar and vanilla for 2 minutes. Pour over bread crumbs.

    Dot with butter and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.
