- 6 slices bread
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 1/2 c. medium sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 5 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Cook sausage and drain.

2Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Tear bread into small pieces and sprinkle over butter, then crumble sausage over bread.

3Divide cheese evenly over bread and pour eggs over all.

4Season and cover.

5Chill overnight.

6Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
