- 2 lb. fresh or frozen broccoli
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 4 c. half and half
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. ham, cubed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. grated Swiss cheese
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1If using fresh broccoli, wash, stem and remove leaves.

2Place in a large pan; add 1/2 of the stock.

3Bring to boil; reduce heat and cover.

4Simmer for 7 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Remove broccoli from stock and chop coarsely.

5Add the remaining stock, ham, salt, pepper and 2 cups half and half to stock in pan. Stir well, bring to boil over medium heat.
