  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Simmer raisins in water (covered 50 to 60 minutes).

    Mix flour, sugar, salt, margarine, egg and baking soda.

    Then add raisins and any water left in pan.

    Be sure to add a little water if needed.

    Bake in a greased loaf pan at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes.
