- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Simmer raisins in water (covered 50 to 60 minutes).

2Mix flour, sugar, salt, margarine, egg and baking soda.

3Then add raisins and any water left in pan.

4Be sure to add a little water if needed.

5Bake in a greased loaf pan at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes.
