Brunch Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread, cubed
  • 3/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. bulk sausage, browned (Jimmy Dean, hot)
  • 1 can diced green chilies
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/3 can water

Directions

    Layer bread, sausage and cheese into 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Beat together eggs, milk, salt, dry mustard, 1 can mushroom soup and water.

    Pour over casserole.

    Let set overnight or 8 hours in refrigerator.

    Bake at 325° (1 1/2 hours, covered, 1/2 hour uncovered) until center is done.

    Test with knife.

    Remove from oven and let set 10 minutes before serving.
