- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 sticks oleo
- 5 large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 small can evaporated milk, with enough water to make 1 c.
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla/butternut flavoring
Directions

1Cream together the sugar, Crisco and oleo.

2Beat the eggs, one at a time, and add to mixture.

3Combine the flour and salt.

4Add the salt-flour mixture alternately with the milk.

5Fold in the flavoring by hand.

6Bake at 350° in greased tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes, starting in a cold oven!

7Do not open door while baking.

8Remove from pan immediately.
