  • 1 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. butter

Directions

    Put syrup and sugar into saucepan; heat until sugar dissolves, then add vinegar.

    Continue boiling, without stirring, until it reaches 260° (hard ball stage).

    Add butter and continue cooking to 270° (soft crack stage).

    Remove from heat.
