  • 1 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. butter

    Blend together sugar, flour and salt.

    Add milk and cook until thickens.

    Just before removing from stove, stir in egg yolks (save whites for meringue).

    Add butter.

    Pour into a baked pie shell.
