- 23 cup vegetable shortening
- 23 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 each yeast cakes
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups milk warm
- 10 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup pecans
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, salt and beat well.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water, combine with warm milk and above mixture, add flour.

3Knead until smooth, let rise until light.

4This dough will keep 3 days in a cool place.

5Roll on board to 1/2 inch in thickness.

6Spread with melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.

7Roll as for jelly roll.

8Cut in 1 inch slices.

9In bottom of each pan place 1 teaspoon butter, 1 teaspoon sugar and 3 pecan meats.

10Place slices, cut side down, in muffin pans.

11Set in warm place to rise and bake 15 to 20 minutes.
