  • 1/2 head cabbage, coarsely chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions

    Cook cabbage until tender. Drain well. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add flour, milk and salt, stirring until thickened.

    Add cabbage and Cheddar cheese.

    Pour into a buttered casserole and top with the crumbs which have been mixed with the melted butter. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until slightly browned on top.
