  • 1 lb. lean pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 3/4 c. rice (raw)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 12 cabbage leaves, wilted
  • 3 c. tomatoes, stewed

Directions

    Put pork and onion through food chopper.

    Add salt, pepper, sage, thyme and rice.

    Wilt cabbage leaves in boiling water, 3 to 5 minutes.

    Drain leaves; put rice and meat mixture inside cabbage leaf.

    Roll up and fasten with toothpicks.

    Place in baking dish and pour in seasoned tomatoes over stuffed leaves.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
