Ingredients

  • 2 medium heads cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 peppers (green and or red)
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Directions

    Grate cabbage and put in container.

    Add salt.

    Cover with water and let stand for 2 hours.

    Cut up celery and peppers and add to cabbage.
  5. 5
    Bring water, vinegar, sugar and celery seed to boil.

    Let cool good and then pour over cabbage, celery and pepper.

    Mix and put in glass container.
  8. 8
    Keeps up to 2 months in refrigerator.
