Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1/2 head medium cabbage, chopped fine
  • 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tomato can water
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can red beans, undrained
  • 2 celery bibs, sliced fine or 2 Tbsp. celery flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

    Saute beef until all pink is gone.

    Drain.

    Adjust all seasoning to taste.

    Mix all ingredients in a 4-quart pot.

    Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour.

    Makes 3-quarts of soup.
